Tie dye scarfs have become a complete staple in my wardrobe. I reach for them no matter what and for some reason they have always worked (with t-shirts, kurtas, or tank/racer back tops). And as the weather is beginning to warm up a little up, thought what better time than now to have a DIY on a tie dye scarf.
- Red Cotton Fabric
- Dye Thread
- Black Cloth Dye
- Salt (one table spoon)
- Utensil to boil water
Step 1: Fold the fabric in a pleated manner.
Step 2: Tie the fabric with the thread.
Step 3: Take a utensil and add water. Bring the water to boil and add black dye color, salt and the fabric.
Step 4: Take the fabric out after 3-5 minutes and wash it under cold water. Wash the cloth properly so that extra color on the fabric washes out.
Step 5: Untie the fabric and put it for drying.
Your tie dye scarf is ready to wear!
