DIY : DENIM POCKET

We all have some patent clothes to wear, when it is that day you don’t find anything in closet to wear. Mine is a simple t-shirt and jean with added details like multiple necklaces, a ring (my new favorite) and a watch. So I thought how about we do a DIY on making our plain boring t-shirts more glamourized. Here’s how I did it:

Step 1: Take a square piece denim fabric.

Measurements:

  • Length : 4 inch
  • Width : 3 ½ inch

Step 2: Mark ½ inch down on the length of the denim fabric and draw a line horizontally.

Step 3: Draw a line around the shape of the pocket at ½ inch distance from the corner of the fabric.

Step 4: Draw another line ½ inch inside from the previous drawn lines.

Step 5: Fold the fabric from the ½ inch mark on the length of the fabric, and sew it with silk thread using the running stitch.

Step 6: Cover one of the line with the silk thread using the running stitch.

Step 7: Place the pocket on the t-shirt ( place it 4 inches inside from end of the armhole) and stitch the denim fabric with the help of the silk thread (different color) using the running stitch.

Step 8: Take the brads and attach them to the pocket.

Step 9: With help of a scissor cut the below corner of the fabric in a round shape.
