You don’t have to be a professional to have fabulous looking makeup, and you don’t have to spend hours doing it, either. Once you have the know-how, you’ll see just how much makeup can accentuate your best features and hide those that aren’t as favorable. Here are a few makeup tips and tricks to help you.

Perfect Match:

Because your neck isn’t exposed to the sun as much as your face, it is much better for matching your true color of foundation. This is the one thing that no matter how well it’s applied, if it’s the wrong color, it will look terrible!

Long Lasting Lipstick:

After your lipstick is applied, hold a tissue over your lips and apply powder over the tissue. This creates a matte look that lasts much longer.

Hide Your Blemish

You normally use a lot of concealer to cover your blemishes. Instead rub a bit of concealer on an eyeliner or small shadow brush for more precise control.

The Business Card Trick

When applying mascara, you tend to leave some marks on the eyebrow line. Instead, hold a business card behind your lashes and apply it in a back and forth motion starting at the roots. You can really put it on this way, coating every lash fast, and not leaving any marks.

Make Your Eye Shadow Pop

Sometimes it happens that we purchase a vibrant color of shadow, that once applied appears rather dull? Here a trick: Use a white eyeliner and cover your entire lid before applying the color of your choice. It will help pop the color of your eye shadow.

Want To Make Eyes Look Bigger

Use a white pencil to create the illusion of a bigger eye. If you don’t already own a white pencil, invest in one now just for this simple trick!

Heat Lash Curler

Heating your lash curler with a blow dyer for 3-5 seconds, will give you those flirty lashes that will last all day.
